Happy Veteran's Day!

         Technology had a major impact on this year's presidential election. Intelligence from big data enabled real-time fact checking and deep sentiment analysis and Twitter became a critical messaging tool for the campaigns and constituents alike, especially for President-Elect Trump. This year's election also showed us the dark side of tech as botnet attacks against campaign websites and ongoing dicussions of Secretary Clinton's email breaches reinforced the importance of cyber security. How these tech issues will continue to impact future policies and campaigns is anyone's guess.
