It looks like customer service horror stories and competition from OTT providers aren't the only things keeping your cable provider up at night. This week, in addition to learning that the success of Netflix's recent cult hit Stranger Things may itself be scarier for some cable execs than the series' faceless monster, we also got an updated proposal from the FCC that would force cable companies to play nicer with their app-based competitors. Plan supporters say these new rules would give consumers more choice and better pricing. Critics have already teased a third act conflict involving privacy. Popcorn, anyone?
