Tuesday, September 12, 2017

ATLANTA – September 12, 2017 – FiberLight, LLC (FiberLight), an industry leader in providing high performance metro and long haul fiber transport services, today announces it has completed network construction into Crosspoint Data Center (Crosspoint Data), the first carrier-neutral data center to open in College Station, Texas. The new, state-of-the art data center is a former Verizon central office and regional campus which Crosspoint has renovated and repurposed in order to provide reliable network continuity through redundancy. FiberLight’s custom network for Crosspoint features dual entrances into its 17.5 acre campus and will allow the facility’s tenants to leverage metro Ethernet, dedicated Internet and dark fiber solutions. With construction complete, local and regional companies in the College Station, Bryan and greater Brazos Valley areas have ready access to carrier-class fiber optic networking through FiberLight and scalable colocation and interconnection services through Crosspoint.

“FiberLight is excited to expand our presence in College Station through our partnership with Crosspoint Data,” says Dan Piercy, National Account Manager for FiberLight. “Crosspoint has demonstrated a commitment to bringing high quality technology and networking capabilities to the residents and businesses in the region. We look forward to further enabling innovation among the local business community by providing secure, on-demand access to critical enterprise applications, including data replication and cloud computing.”

FiberLight is the first fiber optic carrier with a multi-state network to be able to provide services into and out of Crosspoint Data’s College Station campus. Its network reach into Houston and Austin, critical Points of Presence (PoPs) in Dallas, and international data centers in Ashburn, Virginia and Miami, Florida will give local government bodies and businesses in Central Texas – including large healthcare organizations, educational institutions, energy companies and professional services firms – the ability to securely deploy comprehensive disaster recovery tactics.

“FiberLight is an ideal partner for Crosspoint Data and we are excited to have them join our College Station technology campus, “says Reagan Jackson, CEO of Crosspoint Data.  “We are focused on delivering the best portfolio of services, solutions and connectivity, and FiberLight complements our existing infrastructure, providing more options and cost-effective bandwidth for our clients.

FiberLight owns and manages over 1.7 million fiber miles in over 400 cities and towns across the United States.
