Meet the Fiberlight Team

Bill Major

Chief Executive Officer

Bill is a seasoned telecommunications executive with more than 20 years of experience leading teams across sales, operations, and process improvement, and a track record of delivering strong operating performance and financial results.

Most recently, Bill served as CEO and President at Everstream Solutions, LLC, where he was responsible for overseeing the execution of Everstream’s strategy as the premier enterprise and wholesale fiber platform in the Midwest of the United States.

He was also responsible for overseeing the sales, operations, legal, enterprise technology & IT and human resources executive leadership teams.

Bill first joined Everstream in 2015 as Vice President of Sales & Marketing and was promoted to Chief Revenue Officer in 2019 and President in 2021.

Prior to this, Bill held sales and operations leadership roles with Fibertech Networks (acquired by Lightower and Crown Castle), McLeodUSA (acquired by PAETEC and ultimately Windstream).

Jay Anderson

Chief Technology Officer

Jay joined FiberLight in 2012, bringing his experience in cellular and wireless backhaul networking to our then recently announced Texas expansion project. He has since held a several roles within the organization and has shared his network design and engineering expertise (and a love for all things related to processes and data) to many of our organizational growth initiatives. As Chief Technology Officer, he is responsible for evolving FiberLight’s infrastructure and technical capabilities to ensure we can respond quickly to the changing digital ecosystem needs of our customers. Jay is also our resident Star Wars expert and serves on the board of Texas Mosaix, a faith-based non-profit organization focused on international missions.

Ronald Kormos

Chief Strategy Officer

Ron is a founding member of FiberLight and transitioned from our predecessors ACSI NT and Xspedius Communications. He has held many roles within the organization – including Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Construction, President of Texas (Operations), and Chief Development Officer – before being appointed our Chief Strategy Officer in 2014. In this capacity, he draws upon 30 years of utility construction experience and 20 years of sales development experience to build and strengthen customer and partner relationships, negotiate complex commercial agreements, and advance network expansion and other large projects. When he’s not serving as a FiberLight emissary, he enjoys traveling with his family, including regular visits to Europe.

Tyler Coates

Chief Revenue Officer

Tyler is a results-oriented telecommunications executive with over a decade of industry experience across large enterprises and a track record of helping businesses increase their efficiencies and network performance.

Before joining FiberLight, Tyler oversaw Zayo’s Data Center and Cloud Strategic Sales, focusing on Zayo’s largest strategic accounts. Formerly Tyler was the SVP of Central Enterprise Sales. The SVP of Enterprise Networks, leading the WANs (Multi-site connectivity), IP Products, Ethernet, Security, Cloud, CloudLink, and Media Networks businesses with ownership of the P&L, engineering, network control center, architecture, product, and service delivery functions. Tyler has served multiple roles at Zayo, including leadership roles managing Zayo’s Ethernet and Colocation Product teams. Tyler is a founding member and Co-Chairman of Community IX Holdings, formerly FL-IX, providing non-profit Internet Exchanges in the Miami and Atlanta areas. Before Zayo, Tyler has a history of management roles in the service industry, managing sales and operations teams. Tyler has an MBA from the University of Colorado and a BA in economics from Colorado State University.  In addition to his work in the telecommunications industry, Tyler serves as a Board Member for the University of Colorado, Denver business school.

Tony Cash

Executive Vice President & General Counsel

Tony brings to FiberLight a breadth of legal knowledge built on 20 years of prior in-house telecommunications experience with both AT&T and BellSouth, experience founding a startup technology licensing company, and a decade working in private practice. He has received degrees from Clemson University (BA), Duke University (MBA), and Georgia State University (JD). As General Counsel and Secretary to our Board of Directors, Tony guides the company’s stakeholders and executive leadership on organizational business practices and other decision-making activities and oversees all legal, regulatory, and HR functions.

Clark White

Chief Financial Officer

Clark is a seasoned financial executive with more than 20 years of experience leading Accounting and Finance teams across both regional and global firms and a track record of working as a restructuring CFO for many private equity firms.

Over his career, Clark held roles as VP Corporate Controller and Chief Financial Officer in various industries, including commercial real estate, logistics trucking and warehousing, and construction. Most recently, Clark was the Interim CFO at a Class II railroad with operations in Florida and Mississippi.

Expanding his knowledge and experience, Clark spent five years as a consultant and Interim CFO, leading complex projects like EPR selection/implementation, merger and acquisition due diligence, and building best-in-class accounting and FP&A teams.

Clark holds a B.S. in Accounting from Chicago State University, and an MBA in International Business and Finance from DePaul University.

Becky Ospina

Vice President People and Culture

Becky is an experienced Human Resources executive with over 20 years of experience in a global leadership role. Becky holds a BA degree in economics and business from the University at Albany and began her HR career at General Electric Power Systems. During her tenure at General Electric, she held roles with increasing responsibility, ultimately supporting a global workforce across several business units. Beyond her tenure at GE, Becky gained additional experience in the healthcare industry, where she served as a HR business partner and leader. Most recently, Becky served as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Onyx CenterSource, a B2B payments company in the Hospitality Industry where she led the Human Resources function serving global teams across 20+ countries.

Becky is passionate about delivering a world-class employee experience through attracting, developing, and retaining the best talent for the business. Through a business partner model, Becky and her teams have fostered a culture of excellence and innovation supporting leaders to drive performance. She builds teams that provide strategic and operational HR services, enabling workforces to achieve corporate vision and values and to execute against organizational goals and priorities. She enjoys designing and implementing people practices that improve the employee experience, the organizational capability, and the stakeholder satisfaction–all to grow the business and make FiberLight a Best Place To Work.

Derin Cunning

Vice President IT

Before joining FiberLight, Derin held several leadership roles in a diverse set of industries, including Insurance/Automotive, Broadcast/Streaming Media, eCommerce, and Data Center Construction and Management Infrastructure. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Global IT Engineering and Operations at Digital Realty, where he was responsible for a highly technical and talented team of service and engineering professionals dedicated to delivering comprehensive support, innovative infrastructure design, and effective administration of DLR’s global enterprise IT infrastructure and services.

With a strong background in IT engineering and infrastructure management, Derin’s career has been characterized by a deep focus on ITIL and Core ITSM practices, continual service improvement and innovation, which he is excited to share with the FiberLight.
