Atlanta – April 10, 2018 – FiberLight, LLC (FiberLight), an industry leading provider of high-capacity fiber-based network connectivity solutions, today announces the appointment of Mike Kopp as the Vice President of Channel. In this role, Mr. Kopp will be responsible for designing FiberLight’s channel program as well as leading the organization’s channel sales team toward revenue growth.
As part of the company’s growth strategy, FiberLight is introducing a new channel partner program to function as its own department within the sales team. Mike Kopp was selected by FiberLight Chief Executive Officer, Don McNeil, and Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer, Marc Dyman, to form this program as a tenured channel expert. Upon completion, this will be Mr. Kopp’s third channel program build, alongside his contributions at Colt and Cogent.
FiberLight’s channel will be designed with the agent community in mind, creating an attractive program for high engagement and focusing on consistency across contracts, commission payments, rules of engagement, and pricing parity. In a previous role, Mr. Kopp was able to increase sales revenue with one of the largest master agents in the telecommunications industry, growing the channel program to $100,000 Monthly Recurring Charge (MRC) in one year.
“It’s our vision for this channel partner program to become a viable alternative to local exchange carriers and cable operators by offering customers diverse fiber options. As a successful network infrastructure provider, we are able to deliver custom fiber solutions designed to suit customer needs throughout the lifecycle of their business,” explains Mr. Dyman. “In hiring Mike Kopp as our Vice President of Channel, we are investing in a trusted and experienced channel veteran that has successfully built programs from the ground floor, creating new revenue streams for multiple organizations. With his help, we expect the channel to become a key enabler of FiberLight’s go-to-market strategy, expanding our reach and service to a new pool of customers.”
By working with FiberLight, partners benefit from an agile partner who works strategically with customers to design and deploy custom network build solutions. The company seamlessly delivers traditional networking services with unique fiber routes in strategic regions across the United States, helping to enable the digital economy and promote enterprise growth.
“The cloud has experienced unprecedented growth throughout the technology and telecommunications industries, creating a unique opportunity for FiberLight to effectively expand its customer base,” explains Mr. Kopp. “As the digital economy consolidates into the cloud, this is an opportune time for FiberLight to enter the channel as it provides customers with the fiber, network diversity, and expertise they require. I’m honored to be a part of this exciting new venture as we serve the growing needs of customers nationwide.”
