WACO, Texas — FiberLight, LLC [R], a leading metro optical solutions provider, has entered into an agreement with Clearview to provide secure, high-speed optical transport to customers between Waco and other metro areas.
“We can offer 100 meg, 1Gig, or 10Gig depending on what our clients need,” said Ron Kormos, FiberLight’s EVP of Operations and Engineering. “Because we own our own fiber and use state-of-the-art equipment from Fujitsu, there is no limit to the number of customers we can provide OCN, VPNs, Metro Ethernet and IP to at the Waco ITG.”
Clearview’s Waco Information Technology Gateway (ITG) is a secure data center designed specifically for disaster recovery and business continuity. Located about 80 miles south of Dallas, the Waco ITG is built to survive natural and manmade disasters and is located on a power grid separate from Texas’ major city systems, providing an advantage during potential blackouts and brownouts.
“Partnering with FiberLight allows Clearview to extend carrier diversity from carrier hotels in major markets to our facilities. Furthermore, introducing carrier competition into our facilities will drive down Internet bandwidth costs,” said Clay Hill, Clearview President.
The city of Waco is part of FiberLight’s growing 2,100-mile long-haul network encompassing Dallas, Plano, Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Corpus Christie, McAllen, and Laredo.
